AFC Toronto continues to define its identity ahead of the new Northern Super League campaign, officially unveiling its 2026 Primary Kit with a design rooted in football tradition and adapted to the modern game.

The launch marks a key moment for the club as it enters its second season, reinforcing a visual and cultural identity built around consistency rather than constant reinvention.

A heritage-driven design for AFC Toronto’s 2026 Primary Kit

AFC Toronto’s Commitment to Community Engagement

The AFC Toronto 2026 Primary Kit keeps the club’s signature Mighty Maroon at its core, while introducing Warm Winter tones through a classic collar and sleeve cuffs. The addition of the collar signals a deliberate nod to football aesthetics from the 1980s and 1990s, blending nostalgia with a contemporary feel.

Rather than overcomplicating the design, the club has focused on refining its existing identity. Every element of the kit has been intentionally selected, resulting in a jersey that is both functional on the pitch and wearable beyond matchday.

The approach reflects a broader philosophy within the club: build something recognizable, consistent and lasting, instead of frequently shifting visual direction.

Partners remain central to the project

The kit also highlights AFC Toronto’s founding partners, with Desjardins Group featured as the front-of-shirt sponsor and Intact Insurance appearing as the back-of-kit partner.

Both organizations continue to play a role in supporting the development of women’s professional soccer in Canada, aligning with the club’s long-term vision of growing the game and expanding opportunities within the sport.

Club leadership emphasized that the new kit represents more than just a visual update, but a statement of intent as the organization continues to establish itself within the Canadian soccer landscape.

A city-wide launch moment in Toronto

To introduce the new kit, AFC Toronto activated across the city with a large-scale visual campaign. A standout installation featuring an oversized version of the jersey was unveiled at the Princes’ Gates at Exhibition Place, creating a focal point for the launch.

The activation extended beyond a single location, as several Toronto landmarks, including Sankofa Square, the CN Tower and Liberty Grand, were illuminated in the club’s maroon colour as part of a coordinated “paint the city” moment.

The initiative reinforces the club’s connection to the city while positioning AFC Toronto as a growing presence within Toronto’s sports culture.

Exhibition Place, one of the club’s home venues for the 2026 season, also played a central role in the launch, further strengthening its position as a key hub for women’s professional sport in Canada.

AFC Toronto builds identity entering Year 2

As AFC Toronto prepares for its second season in the Northern Super League, the 2026 Primary Kit reflects a club focused on continuity, identity and long-term growth.

The message is clear: establish a recognizable presence on and off the pitch, while building a foundation that connects with supporters and reflects the evolution of women’s soccer in Canada.

The AFC Toronto 2026 Primary Kit officially launches on April 2 and is now available for purchase.
