FIFA begins ticket sales for the 2026 World Cup with the Visa presale draw. Group-stage tickets start at $60 USD.

FIFA-World-Cup-Trophy

FIFA has officially opened the first ticket sales phase for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, marking an important milestone in the lead-up to the tournament in North America.

The initial phase begins Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 11:00 a.m. ET (17:00 CET) with the Visa Presale Draw, offering fans worldwide their first opportunity to secure seats for the expanded 48-team tournament.

The registration window will remain open until Friday, Sept. 19 at 11:00 a.m. ET. Visa cardholders who register with a FIFA ID will be eligible to participate in the presale draw, subject to terms and conditions. Selected applicants will be notified starting Sept. 29 and assigned a specific date and time to complete their purchase beginning Oct. 1.

Ticket prices and options

Group-stage tickets will start at $60 USD, providing entry-level access to matches during the opening round of the competition.

At the upper end, premium seating for the final — scheduled for July 19, 2026 — will reach up to $6,730 USD.

Fans will have multiple purchasing options, including single-match tickets, venue-specific packages and team-specific ticket packages. Additional products will be introduced in later phases, including:

  • Fan Tickets, allowing supporters of the same national team to sit together.
  • Conditional Fan Tickets, which secure seats for knockout-stage matches if a selected team advances.

FIFA and Visa statements

“We are 10 months away from kickoff, and we are excited to begin the first ticket sales phase for what will be a historic event,” said Heimo Schirgi, Chief Operating Officer of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

Frank Cooper III, Visa’s Chief Marketing Officer, highlighted the partnership’s role in the presale process.

“Our collaboration with FIFA gives fans early access to tickets and a secure, seamless payment experience. The journey to the 2026 World Cup begins here — and it begins with Visa,” Cooper said.

Sales timeline and additional phases

FIFA confirmed that ticket sales will be conducted in multiple phases to manage expected global demand.

Following the Visa Presale Draw, a second advance ticket draw will run from Oct. 27 to Oct. 31, with purchasing windows allocated between November and December.

A third phase will take place after the official tournament draw, allowing fans to request tickets with confirmed group-stage matchups.

Closer to the tournament, FIFA will open direct sales on a first-come, first-served basis, along with the official resale platform at FIFA.com/tickets.

How to participate

Fans must create a FIFA ID at FIFA.com/tickets to participate in the sales process and receive updates regarding future phases.

FIFA advises supporters to purchase tickets only through official channels, as tickets obtained from unauthorized sources may not be valid.

Hospitality packages, which include premium seating and exclusive experiences, are available separately at FIFA.com/hospitality.

Looking ahead to 2026

The 2026 FIFA World Cup will feature 104 matches across the United States, Mexico and Canada, making it the largest edition in tournament history.

The opening of ticket sales marks the beginning of the final countdown toward June 2026, when the expanded World Cup kicks off in North America.
