The Munich appearance adds another major stage for Cage The Elephant, a band with a long history of performing in Germany.
“We have played a lot of shows in Germany over the years and the crowds here have always given us everything they have,” frontman Matt Shultz said. “Playing a halftime show is a completely different animal — you get one shot in front of a stadium and a global audience, and you have to make every second count.”
Cage The Elephant has won the Grammy for Best Rock Album twice and accumulated more than 10 billion streams, along with 13 No. 1 records on Alternative radio. The band also toured the United States as a special guest during the Oasis Live ’25 Tour.
The full halftime performance will be carried live in Germany on RTL and Sky Sport.
Patriots and Lions meet in Munich
The Patriots-Lions matchup will mark the NFL’s third regular-season game in Munich following previous visits in 2022 and 2024.
The league is staging the game in partnership with FC Bayern Munich and the City of Munich. The city is also scheduled to host another NFL regular-season game in 2028 as part of a multi-year agreement.

The broader international schedule will take the NFL to seven countries across four continents, with games in the United Kingdom, Spain, Australia, Mexico, Germany, France and Brazil.
Munich is already part of the league’s growing history outside the United States. The NFL has played 62 regular-season games internationally, with Toronto among the cities that have previously hosted games alongside London, Berlin, Frankfurt, Madrid, Dublin, São Paulo, Mexico City and Munich.
For the Nov. 15 game, football will share the stage with one of the biggest rock acts on the international halftime lineup as New England and Detroit bring the NFL back to Germany.
