FIFA to release final batch of World Cup 2026 tickets April 22
In preparation for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, FIFA will launch last-minute ticket sales on April 22, offering seats for all 104 matches. Tickets will be sold via a first-come, first-served basis through FIFA’s official platform. Over five million tickets have already been purchased, with high demand expected.
With 50 days remaining until kickoff, FIFA will open the last-minute ticket sales phase for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, making a new batch of seats available to the general public starting April 22.
Tickets for all 104 matches will go on sale at 11:00 a.m. ET through FIFA’s official platform, with purchases processed on a first-come, first-served basis. The release marks the start of the final sales window, which will remain open throughout the tournament, with additional inventory expected to be added continuously until the final on July 19.
Initially, fans will have access to Category 1, 2 and 3 tickets, with limited front-row seating also available for select matches. Demand is expected to be high, and FIFA confirmed that a virtual queue system will once again be used to manage traffic and maintain platform stability.
Once inside the ticketing portal, users will be able to view available matches, select specific seats through an interactive map or opt for a “best available” feature before completing their purchase.
FIFA emphasized that its official website is the only authorized platform for World Cup 2026 ticket sales, urging fans to avoid third-party sellers and to check the site regularly as more tickets are released.
In addition to standard match tickets, hospitality packages remain available through FIFA’s official provider, On Location. These premium offerings combine guaranteed match access with enhanced experiences on matchday, targeting fans seeking a more exclusive environment.
More than five million tickets have already been sold for the tournament, which will be the largest in World Cup history. The 2026 edition will feature 48 teams and span 39 days across Canada, the United States and Mexico. Organizers expect total attendance to surpass the 3.5 million mark set during the 1994 tournament.
FIFA also confirmed that eligible ticket holders will have access to the official resale platform, allowing fans who cannot attend to return tickets for resale in a controlled and secure environment. Availability of the service will depend on local regulations in each host country.
Travel planning remains a key consideration for international supporters. FIFA noted that a match ticket does not guarantee entry into host countries and encouraged fans to review visa requirements for Canada, the United States and Mexico. Due to processing times, early applications are recommended.
For those traveling to the United States, FIFA has introduced a priority appointment system, known as FIFA PASS, to facilitate visa scheduling for confirmed ticket holders.
All ticket purchases are final, with terms and conditions outlined on FIFA’s official platform.
The April 22 release represents one of the final opportunities for fans to secure access to the tournament before kickoff. With demand continuing to exceed supply, availability is expected to fluctuate throughout the remaining sales phase.
