NFL Week 13: Seven standout stats and historic milestones

Week 13 delivered another full dose of late drama across the NFL, adding more tension to a season already defined by tight finishes. Through November 30, the league has seen 48 games decided by a game-winning score in the final two minutes of regulation or in overtime. It is the second highest total through Week 13 in league history and sits just behind the mark set in 2015. Twenty-four of those games have ended on the final snap, tying 2012 and trailing only 2021.

The latest walk-off arrived in East Rutherford. Nick Folk split the uprights from 56 yards as time expired to lift the Jets over Atlanta 27–24. The veteran kicker now owns 46 made field goals from 50 yards or more and trails only Matt Prater, Justin Tucker and Sebastian Janikowski on the all-time list.

Seattle delivered one of the most dominant defensive outings of the season in a 26–0 win over Minnesota. The Seahawks forced five turnovers, produced four sacks and became the first team since Baltimore in Week 11 of 2017 to post those defensive numbers in a shutout.

Carolina added another chapter to its turnaround with a 31–28 victory over the Rams. The Panthers improved to 7–6, their best position through Week 13 since 2017. Bryce Young once again delivered in crunch time with his 11th career game-winning drive, capped by a 43-yard touchdown to rookie Tetairoa McMillan. Young is now the youngest quarterback in league history to reach 11 game-winning drives, surpassing Josh Allen.

Next Gen Stats highlighted how effective Young was in high-leverage moments. He completed eight of ten passes for 162 yards and three touchdowns on third and fourth down. He is only the second quarterback in the NGS era to throw multiple fourth-down touchdown passes of more than ten air yards in the same game.

Josh Allen also added to a historic afternoon of quarterback performances. In a 26–7 win in Pittsburgh, the Bills star passed for one touchdown and ran for another. His rushing score gave him 76 career rushing touchdowns, lifting him past Cam Newton for the most ever by a quarterback. Allen’s 214 career touchdown passes also moved him ahead of Brett Favre for the fifth highest total through a player’s first eight seasons. He now has six straight seasons with at least 30 combined passing and rushing touchdowns, a streak topped only by Drew Brees.

Head coach Sean McDermott earned his 94th regular-season victory. He is now tied with John Madden and Mike McCarthy for the third most wins by a coach in his first nine seasons.

Justin Herbert contributed two touchdown passes in the Chargers’ 31–14 win over Las Vegas. It marked his 51st career game with multiple touchdown throws and placed him ahead of Peyton Manning for the fourth highest total through a quarterback’s first six seasons.

Tampa Bay added one of the day’s most unusual highlights when Baker Mayfield connected with offensive tackle Tristan Wirfs for a touchdown in a 20–17 win over Arizona. Mayfield is now one of six quarterbacks since 2000 with multiple touchdown passes to offensive linemen.

Christian McCaffrey continued a remarkable season in San Francisco’s 26–8 win in Cleveland. With 849 rushing yards and 806 receiving yards this year, he joins Marshall Faulk as the only players to reach at least 800 in both categories in three seasons. His 1,655 scrimmage yards and 13 touchdowns in 2025 place him among the few to record five seasons with at least 1,600 yards and 13 touchdowns.

Miami’s De’Von Achane added 134 rushing yards and a touchdown in a 21–17 win over New Orleans. He has now produced at least ten scrimmage touchdowns in each of his first three seasons, joining a short list that includes Adrian Peterson and LaDainian Tomlinson. Achane is also the sixth running back in the Super Bowl era to total at least 20 rushing touchdowns and ten receiving touchdowns in his first three years.

Davante Adams had four receptions, 58 yards and two touchdowns in Week 13. He now owns 28 career games with multiple touchdown catches, tying Don Hutson for the sixth most in league history. His 117 career receiving touchdowns move him ahead of Antonio Gates and place him seventh all-time. This season, he leads the NFL with 14 receiving touchdowns and becomes one of the few players with at least three seasons of 14 or more.

Myles Garrett pushed his Defensive Player of the Year résumé even further. His 19 sacks through 12 games surpassed Mark Gastineau for the second most in that span since 1982. His 28 tackles for loss are the most through 12 games by any player since 2000.

Trey McBride continued his rise with eight catches, 82 yards and a touchdown. With 309 career receptions, he now holds the record for the most by a tight end through four seasons. He also extended his streak to 14 consecutive games with at least five receptions, the second longest ever among tight ends.

Bijan Robinson recorded 193 scrimmage yards and a touchdown and became only the second player alongside LaDainian Tomlinson to open his career with at least 3,000 rushing yards, 1,500 receiving yards and 30 scrimmage touchdowns through three seasons.

Daniel Jones delivered another efficient performance for Indianapolis with a passer rating over 100 for the ninth time this year, tying Patrick Mahomes for the third most such games through a player’s first 12 with a team.

Tyrod Taylor added to his unique career path with a win for the Jets, making him the sixth quarterback since 2000 to start and win a game for at least six franchises.

Maxx Crosby and Cameron Jordan also produced standout defensive days. Crosby reached 23 tackles for loss this season, putting him among elite company. Jordan became one of only two players since 2000 with at least 125 sacks and 745 tackles.
