Toronto FC has announced a series of fan-focused initiatives and events to celebrate the club’s 20th season in Major League Soccer.
The programming will run throughout the 2026 campaign, which also coincides with Toronto serving as a host city for the FIFA World Cup.
The club will begin the celebrations during its home opener on March 14 at BMO Field, launching a season-long effort to recognize the team’s history while introducing new matchday experiences for supporters.
“Toronto FC’s 20th season is a celebration of the club’s history and its connection with our city and our fans,” general manager Jason Hernandez said. “As we reflect on two decades, we remain committed to creating new experiences and memorable moments for our supporters.”

Home opener to feature fan march and commemorative giveaway
The season’s first home game will include a supporter march beginning in Liberty Village and leading into BMO Field.
The “March to the Match” will be led by Toronto FC alumni Dwayne De Rosario, Jimmy Brennan and Doneil Henry.
Fans attending the game will also receive a commemorative seat cushion honoring Danny Dichio’s historic goal in the 24th minute of Toronto FC’s inaugural MLS season in 2007.
The match will also introduce the club’s new Winterdome activation area located in the King Club section of the stadium.
New digital platform for supporters
Toronto FC will also launch a new digital engagement platform as part of its anniversary season.
The TFC Fan Access program, integrated with the club’s new mobile app, will offer supporters opportunities to access up to 200 tickets per home match, along with exclusive content, rewards and fan experiences throughout the year.
Fans can sign up through the club’s insider platform to receive early access to the program.
Winterdome Series and Canadian national team tribute
From March through April, Toronto FC will host a Winterdome Series of themed matches highlighting the city’s winter football culture.
The six-game series will feature stadium activations inspired by après-ski experiences, including DJs, photo opportunities and themed food and beverage offerings.
On May 2, the club will host the True North Match, an event designed to celebrate Canada’s men’s national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup.
During that match, Toronto FC will debut a new merchandise collection titled “For Club and Country,” designed to highlight both club and national pride.
Inter Miami match to serve as World Cup send-off
Toronto FC will host Inter Miami on May 9 in what the club is calling its Global Send-Off Game ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
The match is expected to attract one of the largest crowds in BMO Field history following recent stadium expansions completed ahead of the tournament.
Toronto FC will also participate in the FIFA Fan Festival events held at Fort York National Historic Site and The Bentway during the World Cup.
The club plans to host fan activations, contests and promotional events tied to its Fan Access platform.
Post-World Cup celebrations planned
Following the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, Toronto FC said it will resume MLS play with additional matchday programming celebrating the tournament and the diverse soccer communities across the Greater Toronto Area.
